Our worst sin in any analysis comes when we start pounding square facts into round holes just to fit a favorite hypothesis. When I take a look at the current state of affairs in the karate and martial arts, I can hear the banging away on pegs - what ever their shape. Once humans achieve some semblance of success they tend to create square holes and when any other theory, hypothesis or fact comes up that refutes the status quo then tend to use big hammers to pound them until they fit their preconceived perceptions of their beliefs.
This, is often our worst sin!
