Amateurs fight bodies. They study bodies, they break down bodies and the train to counter technique. Professionals fight minds. When attacked and in need of self-defense it is not about the technique but the mind. To be successful you have to fight the adversary’s mind.
Defense is second, offense is primary - make your defense an offensive goal. Offense can provide better defense then a defensive technique. Stay with the offense as both defense and offense.
We fight our adversary’s minds and we fight our own minds. Hopefully we have fought and won our battles with our minds long before we have to take on the minds of our adversary’s/attackers.
I think Mayweather would disagree with you as would anyone who has learned the true art of defense. Thank you
